You say you let her go but never did. She took this choice away from you when she wandered off like a parent who walks out of a child’s life.
Instead of an apology, you were blamed. Just as the homeowner was put at fault for being robbed.
Every day you dissect the past but can’t find answers. You believe what she’s said.
You’re demanding and clingy. You provide oxygen to everyone’s lies and enjoy playing the victim.
You starve for affection. But no one owes you. Your parents don’t have to nurture you. Your lover doesn’t need to compromise for you. Your friends don’t have to uplift you.
You’re selfish. People are suffering, and you’re only thinking about yourself. You haven’t rested beside your dying father. You haven’t watched your friend stain himself with his own blood.
You say you’re compassionate. Yet you purposely place yourself in positions to appear as the hero. Just like the man who takes a bullet for a stranger to gain praise.
