"The deeper I go, the more I realize I’m not me. I’m the you from centuries ago." That "you" Animals believed long extinct are traveling toward that "you". It's a homing beacon for all the wayward ambiguities. And the hemispheric or dimensional code switching between the automatic piece and the considered commentary. Blissful.

I really appreciate what you seem to be doing with your writing and its existence gives me a complex satisfaction. I could say more about that. I wanted to encourage you. Hope I did.

I wrote a poem out of the imagery and atmospheres your piece kicked up for me. I hope that's ok. Please don't read anything personal into it. It's a refraction. Such nice chthonic energy your writing has. Very healthy and powerful!

The haunted radio

at the bottom

of the pond

always plays

the same song

So you go on dancing

your shadow's own

ecstatic marionette

chameleonic

glimmering

between the trees

I love your poem, Rich! I'm stuck on that image of the haunted radio below the water :) I'm very happy you wrote this :)

I know! They don't make them to last like that anymore. If it made you happy then I accomplished my mission. Excellent! Looking forward to your new work and reading more of your old stuff.

Can I just say out right, I'm not creeping on you. I'm really interested in what's going on in your writing. I read a lot of online writing. I am curious about you as a person because of that-- apart from your inherent interest as a highly evolved intelligent life form in a universe where such a thing seems rare.

The transparency and the fury of the writing though. They're very alive and full of protest and dare. I love it. I read a lot of online writing. I can't think of anything I've come across that pokes the bear in quite the way you do.

May I ask who you like to read? Not to reduce your work to influences at all, but just because I'm curious what's informing your sense of what writing can do. It kind of seems like you're using it as a weapon! Which I genuinely feel is a great way to use it, not that you need my approval.

If you have the time and inclination we could talk shop. I'd love that.

Writing is magic. If writing is magic, is writing about writing a breach of the magician’s code?

You're right! It's definitely not a breach of the magician's code haha :)

The writing reminds me of the "stream of consciousness" technique where a writer verbatim puts their thoughts to words on paper. It is interesting to see how the mind travels around topics. Nice piece.
